Born and raised in a Christian environment in Newfoundland, Irene gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 12, and moved to Ontario when she was only 15 years old. For a short time she turned her back on God. During that time she met her husband, Melvin, married and had two children. Many of her younger years were spent fighting a battle with Crohn’s Disease. Through this battle Irene learned who God really was and the importance of having a strong relationship with the God of the Bible.

 

Often described as a peacemaker, Irene loves to study the word of God and understands the importance of having a vital prayer life. 

 

Irene has a strong desire to see God move in power as He did in the book of Acts and is crazy enough to believe that some 2000 years later, God is still God and if we will believe and not doubt what His word says, we will see it come to pass.

 

Irene feels that it’s an honor to serve on the Ignite team, with each and every lady whom God is raising up in this hour to be mighty warriors, for the Bible says the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few.
